🧩 Movie Summary in Short
Candice and Joel — a missionary couple — move with their son Elliot to a remote village near an Ecuadorian volcano to spread their faith among an Indigenous community. When Elliot disregards warnings and enters a forbidden cave, he returns possessed by a sinister, ancient spirit. What follows is a horrifying clash between faith and folklore, as the family — and the village — grapple with a force far older than any religious doctrine. Salvation means confronting beliefs, traditions, and the primal terror that has awakened.
